Tony, Lou and Tom combine to bring roughly 75 years of involvement and experience with Notre Dame football. Tony Roberts is a legendary broadcaster who was the voice of Notre Dame football for 26 years on the Mutual and Westwood One radio networks. In 2005, he was honored with the Chris Schenkel Award, given annually by the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame to a college football broadcaster who has excelled in his field and contributed to his community.

Tom Pagna partnered with Tony for 16 years until 2001 on Mutual and Westwood One. He played halfback for Ara Parseghian from 1951-53 at Miami (OH), and then joined his coaching staff at Notre Dame, where he coached the backfield from 1964-1974.

"Tom is just great,” Roberts said of his longtime friend and former radio partner. “People don't fully appreciate Tom Pagna. Tom was one of the top offensive minds of our time."

An institution when it comes to Notre Dame history, Lou Somogyi brings more than 20 years of veteran coverage to Blue and Gold Illustrated as senior editor and is a Notre Dame graduate. Author of "The Fifth Quarter" column, he earned Best Column honors from Collegiate Sports Publications Association in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Lou provides the brand of unique perspective on Irish sports that's found nowhere else in print or on the Internet.
